Wayne State University is noted among three of the largest creditors in the GlycoGenesys Inc.'s Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filing in Massachusetts . The biotechnology company said Friday that it laid off more than half of its work force in an effort to salvage the business. The company said it plans to restructure its business under bankruptcy protection and pursue "strategic alternatives."
